Rainbow Six Extraction Best Operators Guide: All playable Operators & gadgets

It's time to get together and join REACT in fighting the Archaean threat that's bringing humanity to its knees. Rainbow Six Extraction is a new title set in the Rainbow Six universe from Ubisoft - it's going to feature a few familiar faces from Siege, but there's so much more to experience in this upcoming title.

Here are all the confirmed playable Operators launching with Rainbow Six Extraction and how they'll be tackling the new threat. We're expecting a few more to arrive post-launch, so we'll keep you updated.

Rainbow Six Extraction - All playable Operators

Ubisoft is going to bring eighteen familiar faces from Rainbow Six Siege to Rainbow Six Extraction at launch - we now know everyone who's coming to the fight at launch! Here's the updated list... We're still waiting on official cinematics for some of these Operators, though.

TACHANKA - DP-28 Light Machine Gun

" Deploys a mounted LMG for anyone to use."

FUZE - APM-6 Cluster Charges

" Deploys remotely detonable charges on walls and barricades, releasing cluster grenades on the other side upon activation."

CAPITAO - TAC Mk0 bolts

" Silently shoots bolts which detonate on impact. Can alternate between smoke screen bolts and venom bolts."

ROOK - Boron-ceramic armour plates

" Drops a pack of armor plates for the team, granting damage resistance. Anyone wearing armor always falls to Downed instead of K.O."

JAGER - MAGPIE Automated Defense System

" Deploys an automated turret, attacking enemies and intercepting projectiles in the area."

IQ - RED SPECTRE Electronics Detector

" Detects React Equipment through obstacles."

GRIDLOCK - TRAX Stinger anti-personnel traps

" Throws and deploys ground traps. Enemies hit by the trap take damage and move at a slower pace for a limited time."

NOMAD - AIRJAB repulsion grenades

" Shoots proximity mines, knocking back enemies caught in the blast. Also clears the area of hazards."

SMOKE - Z9 toxic gas grenades

" Throws remotely detonated Smoke Gas grenades, dealing damage to any enemy in the gas."

ELA - GRZMOT concussive mines

" Throws sticky proximity mines, stunning enemies caught in the blast. Mines recharge over time."

SLEDGE - Tactical Breaching Hammer

" Equips a robust tactical hammer which can stun parasites and destroy walls to create new paths."

ALIBI - PRISMA volumetric display device

" Can deploy a decoy from Drones to lure and distract any enemies in the area. Enemies attacking the decoy become scanned."

LION - EE-ONE-D drone

" Detects all moving enemies in an area for a medium duration, requires a recharge after each use."

VIGIL - ERC (Electronic Rendering Cloak)

" Disrupts enemies making him undetectable for a medium duration. Requires a recharge after each use."

HIBANA - X-KAIROS grenade launcher

" Shoots remotely detonable sticky explosives that stick to all surfaces. Detonate to deal armor penetrating damage."

DOC - STIM pistol

" Fires his Health Pistol to heal or revive himself or his teammates when Downed."

PULSE - HB-7 Cardiac Sensor

" Detects VIPs, MIAs, and enemy Nests through obstacles."

FINKA - Nanobot-driven adrenalin boost

" Temporarily boosts the team's reactivity and survival. Revives any Downed teammates and they always go Downed while active."

In addition to the gadgets specified above, all Operators will have access to the following additional gadgets:

• Glue Grenade - Slows enemy movement;
• Arc Mine - Quickly eliminates oncoming threats around corners;
• Field Wall - Deploys an impact barrier that stops projectiles;
• REACT Light - Can be used to detect enemies through walls;
• Scan Mine - Provides an additional set of eyes;

Rainbow Six Extraction is due to release on January 20th, 2022, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, and Stadia.
