The next free game from Epic Games has gone live and it is Dandara: Trials Of Fear Edition.

If you're a fan of Metroidvanias, this is a game you definitely need to grab this week.

What is interesting is, Dandara: Trials Of Fear is also being given away for free next month as part of Xbox Games With Gold.

Each month, Xbox Live Gold subscribers get 4 free games to download and keep forever.

This isn't the first time we've seen a game appear on two competing platforms at the same time.

Yesterday it was revealed that Control: Ultimate Edition would be coming to PS Plus next month.

Control was also recently announced and added to Xbox Game Pass, meaning that both competing platforms have given away the same game at the same time.

And with the recent change, so Xbox players don't need Xbox Live in order to play f2p titles, much like PlayStation, there is becoming less reason to choose one platform over the other.

It has now been revealed that the next free game will be For The King.

For The Kings will become available to claim for free on February 4th at 11 am EST/4 pm GMT and will be available until February 11th at the same time.
