12 players have been confirmed for the first batch of yesteryear legends that'll have their Icon cards in FC 26. The list has a mix of both recent inductees, like Toni Kroos, and older greats, like Oliver Kahn.
One of them will be packable in the Ultimate Edition pre-order bonus, but you'll instead get a 'Debut' version. Keep reading to know what it is and exactly how they are upgraded.
What are Debut Icon cards in FC 26?
Debut Icon cards in FC 26 are a lower-rated version of Icon cards that highlight their early career. Their dynamic will be of their younger days.
You can get 1 Debut Icon through a pack if you pre-order the FC 26 Ultimate Edition of the game early. Here are all the 12 confirmed Debut Icon players:

Keep in mind that Debut Icons are different than Base or any promo versions.
How to Upgrade Debut Icons to Champion in FC 26
Once you've received your Debut Icon through the Ultimate Edition pre-order bonus, it'll automatically be upgraded to a higher rating from November 2025.
These upgrades will be automatic, meaning you have to do nothing other than keep them in your club.

We had something similar with Heroes during FC 25. They had their 'Origin' version that was later upgraded to their 'Prime.' Initially, they were exclusive to pre-order and were later added to the packs after the end of November.
If it works all the same as last year, you can only get the Debut version with the pre-order bonus and then have it upgraded to Champion in November. Later in the month or year, all the Champion versions may find themselves in the packs.
Of course, there will be more Icons, including Base and promo versions. All those that have already been announced may have their other Icon promo cards later down the road as well.
