Will Madden 25 be on PS4?

The NFL Draft is nearly here and fans everywhere are looking forward to next season, but is Madden 25 on PS4? There is still a huge number of NFL fans that game on the PS4, even though the PlayStation 5 launched back in 2020.

With the last few Madden games appearing on PS4, will EA continue down that path or finally cut ties with the old consoles?

Is Madden 25 on PS4?

While nothing is confirmed yet, it is incredibly likely that Madden 25 will release on PS4 this year. While the PlayStation 5 has been around for nearly four years, there is still a huge player base on both PS4 and Xbox One, and EA has never been one to walk away from a player pool of that size.

However, the PS4 version of Madden 25 may differ widely from the PS5 one. Last year's PS4 players missed out on the upgrades to player models and movements, as well as crossplay, FieldSENSE, and even the Superstar game mode. PS5 players also experience faster load times and better resolution.

It is likely that the PS4 version of Madden 25 will be very similar to that of Madden 24, which itself was similar to Madden 23, and miss out on new features that leverage the power of next-gen consoles. So if you want to truly experience Madden 25, you will need to finally make that upgrade.

Madden 25 release date

EA is yet to make an official announcement, but based on previous years we can make a good guess at the Madden 25 release date.

It is likely that Madden 25 will come out on 16 August. This is the third Friday in August, which is when the last few Maddens have been released.

There should also be three days of early access for those that buy the Deluxe Edition, which means you could be playing Madden 25, or whatever EA ends up calling it, from 13 August if you are willing to pay a little extra.
