Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 was dedicated to celebrating the Greek gods and featured challenges themed after Avatar: The Last Airbender, with Korra even appearing in the Battle Pass—but a couple of months deep, the season is coming to an end.
Below, I’ll outline when we can expect this season to end after first beginning on March 8. Usually, once a season ends, there is a downtime in the build-up to what’s next.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 End Date
The current season appears to end on May 24, meaning it lasted just over two months. There is always a chance the next season will be delayed if Epic needs to work on it for a bit longer; however, if this is the case, we will make sure this page is updated to reflect the change.
Epic has not confirmed if this is when the season will end, but this date is when the Battle Pass is set to expire, which always coincides with a season-ending. There’s nothing to suggest that it be extended for now, but it’s one to watch.
When Does the Next Season Release
Chapter 5, Season 3 of Fortnite, will launch that same weekend after the aforementioned downtime. During this downtime, matchmaking is completely disabled, and you won’t be able to access the game. The length of the downtime can vary, but the new season should launch no later than the same weekend.
Right now, there’s not a lot of information about what the next season will contain, but it is usually interconnected with the previous season. For example, the train from Season 1 is still active in the game, with challenges often introduced to utilise it.
