FC 24: Is Alfie Gilchrist in the game?

A host of exciting young talents have emerged from the FC 24 database over the past six months, with several prospects catching the world's attention throughout the season.

From Kobbie Mainoo to Archie Gray, the 2023/24 campaign has produced some unforgettable moments for a number of youngsters, including Chelsea academy graduate, Alfie Gilchrist.

The defender has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge and put the icing on the cake by scoring his first senior goal for the Blues against Everton, but is he in FC 24? Let's take a look!

Is Alfie Gilchrist in FC 24?

Prior to Chelsea's Premier League clash against Everton on Monday, it had already been a dream season for Alfie Gilchrist which has seen him become a regular first-team member under Mauricio Pochettino.

A few brief appearances off the bench were followed up by a full debut at Stamford Bridge back in January as Gilchrist helped Chelsea progress to the next round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 victory over Preston North End.

The only thing missing was his first senior goal until he smashed home the rebound from Jordan Pickford's parried save in stoppage time during a 6-0 win over the Toffees.

Thanks to his emergence this season, Chelsea fans will be pleased to know that Gilchrist is in FC 24 after being added via a Squad Update at the beginning of the year.

Initially starting with a 60 OVR and 77 potential, EA has since upgraded Gilchrist's stats to a 63 rating and 80 potential in recognition of his recent progress.

As he often does in real life, Gilchrist can play at both centre-back and right-back in FC 24, although his lack of pace certainly makes him more effective in the middle.

Still only 20 years old, EA will no doubt hand Gilchrist another upgrade in the near future, and it would be no surprise to see him possess significantly stronger attributes when FC 25 comes along.
